What do I pack in my hospital bag?

[00:00:00] People often ask us like, what should I pack in my bag? And it's funny because to the doctors, when you ask, what should we pack in our bag? I think most of us are like, um, so seriously. It's not because I don't care what you pack in your bag, it's because the truth is, it's such a personal choice, right?

What I say to patients is, if I had to send you to the hospital right now, this second from my office, most hospitals in the US at least will have. Toothbrush, toothpaste, a comb, a gown, fancy mesh, underwear and socks, which really, when you think about it, is all you need. You absolutely need a baby car seat to go home, but that baby does not go home until typically anywhere from 30 hours or more after the delivery.

So you or your partner have time to go get it before you take that baby home. And the other choices are things that you would otherwise. For comfort. So some common things I've seen patients bring that were really great, there's a long extension cord for all of the things you wanna plug in, like your phone and your laptop.

A neck pillow, like a travel pillow. I thought that was a brilliant Jenny, my business partner at [00:01:00] Tribe called V actually had packets of bone broth that had protein in them because you're allowed to have clear liquids throughout your labor. And so that might be a really good way to boost your energy source.

Um, so those are some of the things. Tell me some of the things you packed in your bag.
